Lickix grow hard rocky plates to protect their otherwise soft bodies. They secrete a drool-like slime to glide upon and consume prey whole, dead or living. They mainly live in soil and are not known to be aquatic. This species plays a part in churning soil and replenishing oxygen and nutrients.
